History
Opened in 1912. Damaged terribly by Atomic-bombing
on Aug. 6 1945, but revived partly just after
3 days and encouraged people to rebuild the
city post the World War II.
Now provide 18.8km (12 miles) inner city streetcar service
and 16.1km (10 miles) suburban service
between Nishi-Hiroshima and Hiroden-Miyajima
terminus.
Standard gauge(1435mm, 4 feet 8 inch 1/2,),
multiple tracks, 600 dc volts overhead electrified.
